WHAT DO WE DO?
In the Schools…
One Voice Nashville provides in-depth training for students on how to tell stories and conduct interviews.
Oral Storytelling: Students practice telling a story, eventually without notes, following the 5 elements of a story: Characters, Setting, Conflict, Plot, & Theme.
Narrative Journalism: Students learn how to conduct interviews with community members about a topic they choose to explore. Our curriculum integrates Social-Emotional Learning, History, English, Creative Writing, Electronic Knowledge, Audio Engineering, and much more.
In the Summer…
One Voice Nashville offers Summer Camp which covers a basic overview of storytelling, narrative journalism, podcasting, the listening process, and story structuring to middle school and high school students.
*All students create an interview profile piece (covering a topic of their choice) and an oral story to share. Students conduct presentations on the final day of camp for friends and family.

In the Workplace
One Voice Nashville believes that stories transform communities, teams, and yes, even the workplace. When we learn to listen to each other, we learn to empower one another and the living stories all around us.
